Community Guidelines
The standards that keep reviews, profiles, lists, and social activity useful and welcoming.
Last updated: October 9, 2026
1. Be respectful
Discuss games strongly; treat people carefully. Do not harass, threaten, stalk, shame, or organize abuse against another person. Do not attack protected characteristics or use slurs and dehumanizing content.
2. Keep the community safe
- No sexual exploitation, sexual content involving minors, credible threats, encouragement of self-harm, or instructions for serious wrongdoing.
- No pornography, explicit sexual imagery, or content primarily intended for sexual gratification.
- No sharing another person’s private information, credentials, precise location, or intimate content without permission.
- No malicious links, malware, scams, phishing, account trading, or attempts to bypass security or moderation.
3. Keep contributions authentic and useful
- Review the game, not another member. Do not manipulate ratings, reactions, follows, reports, or recommendations.
- Do not spam, repeatedly post the same content, advertise without permission, or use bots and undisclosed automation.
- Do not impersonate another person, publisher, reviewer, or The Gaming Inbox.
- Use the spoiler disclosure whenever an ordinary reader could reasonably consider a story detail a spoiler. Never use a spoiler as a title or profile name to evade the warning.
4. Respect rights and game listings
Post only content you have the right to share. Do not upload copyrighted artwork, personal photos, or trademarks in a misleading or infringing way. Game catalogue pages may be restricted or removed when they are explicit, unlawful, unsafe, inaccurate, or outside the intended scope of the Service.
5. Enforcement
Depending on severity, history, context, and risk, we may warn, add a spoiler label, hide or remove content, restrict features, suspend or ban an account, block a game listing, preserve relevant records, or notify appropriate parties. Serious conduct may result in immediate action.
Use available reporting tools for content or contact legal@thegaminginbox.com. Explain what happened and include the profile, post, review, or list link. Appeals should identify the decision and why it should be reconsidered. Reporting does not guarantee a particular outcome.
